Headwrap Season

I love a good headwrap. And, actually, any season is perfect for rocking one. Bad hair day or good– jeans or dress, these works of art happen to be one of my favorite accessories. I just love the color, the creativity and the stylish power that they exude.

At the moment, I only know a few basic styles– some I’ve figured out on my own and others I’ve gleaned from that great educational monster know as YouTube, but give me a scarf or a sarong and the first thing I’m going to try to do with it is wrap that bad boy around my noggin.

For your viewing pleasure, here are a few of my favorites from my Pinterest collection:

I learned how to do the empress wrap on YouTube. Still working on perfecting it and have yet to try the double layer that this pretty lady has, but, trust, it's coming soon.

I wear a variation of this one often. It’s one of my favorite styles.

Love this fall look. A good headwrap just adds that extra flair that we love so much.

I see a lot of African women creating wraps from a stiff fabric, which looks like what she's wearing. I need to figure out where I can buy these.

I see so many women wearing this style. Not sure if it will compliment my face (i.e. my long nose), but I like it.
